The Raidsteal SMP is a unique, never-before-done server with a custom data pack written exclusively for it, creating an extraction genre-like game loop. The server is based on a raid mechanic, where a new team is randomly selected every 30 minutes. This team will have to fend off attacks from all players who choose to engage, with many new items introduced to ensure a fun siege experience. The destructive nature of these raids may seem overly punishing; however, all block damage done over a raid is fully repaired once the attack is over, but the valuables taken from chests are lost forever.
Any remaining questions can be answered within the in-game help book (received via running the /trigger help command).
Claims: Players can claim territory and fully protect it from any damage outside of a raid. During a raid, this land is capable of being damaged, but any blocks destroyed will be repaired at the end of said raid.
Players can also invite their friends to their team, granting them the ability to fully interact with claimed territory and assist them in defence during a raid.
Team members can teleport back to their base at any time, as long as an enemy is not currently around them. Players can also teleport to bases outside of their team, assuming the foreign group allows it.
Miscellaneous Server mechanics:
Fire has been made an actual threat - entities on fire will continue to spread flames around them until they go cold. Flaming arrows will also spread fire around their impact point.
Players wearing armour will sink in water, allowing creative moat and trap design.
Long-distance travel has been reworked - Path blocks increase the move speed of players, and horses have an overall increase in speed.
